Ajman Executive Council Decision No. 11/2018, as amended by Ajman Executive Council Decision No. 6/2021 and Ajman Executive Council Decision No. 14/2021, establishes the Ajman Regulatory Committee for Petroleum Products Trading. The committee is headed by Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director General of the Department of Economic Development, and includes representatives from various entities such as the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, Ajman Police General Headquarters, Ajman Directorate General of Civil Defence, Ajman Petroleum Department, and the Department of Economic Development. The committee is responsible for issuing trading permits for petroleum products and ensuring compliance with approved conditions. It examines requests referred by the Department of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, verifies compliance, and makes recommendations accordingly. The committee also ensures the presence of security, safety, and environmental requirements in transportation, manufacturing, storage, and trading facilities. Meetings of the committee are scheduled by the Chairman, and its recommendations are documented in signed meeting minutes. The committee has the authority to consult experts, specialists, and other entities within and outside the Emirate for necessary research, studies, and technical opinions. Periodic reports on the committee's work are submitted to the Executive Council of Ajman through the General Secretariat. The law comes into effect upon issuance and is published in the Official Gazette. It is circulated to relevant entities for implementation within their respective jurisdictions. The Chairman of the Executive Council is Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi.
